The Main Posters
The Appalachian Futurism Project’s main promotional posters each feature an animal and a symbol of Appalachia. Our original, classic poster pictures a mechanical fox smelling a flower. Foxes are found all throughout the Appalachian region. The gears inside of the fox represent how AFP is encouraging the cogs — the people of our region — to work together towards change.

We have two other main posters featuring symbols of Appalachia: a trout with a quilt-based pattern and a musical instrument, and a futuristic flower paired with a cyber-like deer.
Trout fishing is popular in Appalachia, and deer are common throughout the region. The quilt design within the fish and the traditional Appalachian instrument symbolize our region’s culture, while the deer's technological stylization represents Appalachia's future in a tech-forward world.
